Is DocuFun really free?
Yes. The website is free with no limits on how many files you open.
How can it open files without uploading them?
Modern browsers can read a file you choose directly. DocuFun’s viewer is written in JavaScript that runs on your device, so it unpacks and draws the document locally. You can check: open your browser’s network panel and you will see no upload.
Which formats are supported?
Word (DOCX), Excel (XLSX), PowerPoint (PPTX), OpenDocument (ODT, ODS), RTF, EPUB eBooks, PDF, Markdown, CSV and TSV, JSON, XML, plain text and 40+ code types, ZIP archives and common images.
Can I save a document as PDF?
Yes. Open it, press Print, and choose “Save as PDF”. Only the document is printed, not the page around it.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes — on any modern phone, tablet or computer. Native Android and iOS apps are coming soon.
